Daffodil in Yellow Light (2026) Original Oil Painting by Snezhana Zhukova

This original oil painting on canvas presents a close-up daffodil with six softly defined pale yellow petals and a delicate pink center. Soft-focus contours, elongated horizontal brushwork, and translucent tonal transitions gently dissolve the edges of the flower, creating a fleeting and atmospheric impression. The background is predominantly warm yellow, with subtle ochre elements that add depth and tonal variation while maintaining the luminous simplicity of the composition. Combining contemporary floral art, botanical painting, and minimalist floral aesthetics, the work focuses on the delicate relationship between form, color, light, and softness. Its poetic and contemplative atmosphere creates a quiet sense of stillness, allowing the daffodil to emerge gently from the surrounding yellow field.
