Original artwork description
Cypresses are always an inspiration, especially for artists from the Mediterranean region.
The painting was created from my imagination using linear and atmospheric perspective.
At first glance, it is hard to notice the geometrical complexity behind the piece. There are two points of perspective. One is on the sea horizon, and the second is at the end of the row of cypresses, evoking an experience of going down to the beach. If the sea were erased from the painting, the experience of descending would cease, and the observer would have the impression of moving straight in an infinite, unknown direction. But with the sea, the feeling is familiar, and it moves us from the shade toward the goal. Like in life, we need to imagine something positive in the distance so we can have motivation to take action and truly live in the present.
The colors used are different shades of green, gold and cobalt blue.
The painting is signed on the back and ready to hang.
