Painted en plein air (outside on location) at Point Lobos Nature Reserve.
The Cypress Grove Trail winds through one of the two naturally growing stands of Monterey cypress trees remaining on Earth. You walk through coastal scrub and mostly cypress forest outlined by cliffs with dramatic and spectacular ocean views.
Materials used: Oil on Arches 140 lb. Oil Paper mounted on 1/8" Sintra panel.
The painting surface is protected with a coat of Gamvar varnish. The painting is unframed. Images showing it framed in home interiors are for presentation of framing ideas only. Frame is not included.
