Original artwork description
This is an painting of the iconic view from Crystal Palace from Gipsy Hill across to central London, with the Shard and other skyscrapers on the horizon. Several of the impressionists lived and painted in this area of London including Pissarro and I have tried to give this painting an impressionistic feel whilst incorporating contemporary elements such as the bus stop and road markings.
Painted in watercolour and ink on paper, I allow the paints to 'bleed' into the paper to create an atmospheric effect.
Please note that this painting is being sold unframed (to keep shipping costs down for overseas collectors) but a simple white frame can be included at cost price for UK customers - please refer to the photo of the framed version and send an enquiry re costings if interested.
