Original artwork description
There is a place called Doodhpathri near Srinagar in Kashmir, India and it is not a usual tourist destination. But it is a beautiful valley with vast meadows, with the backdrop of pine trees and Himalayan mountain ranges. River Shaliganga flows through the rocks and from a distance the river almost looks like milk, on account of its milky white waters. That is why it is called Doodhpathri (Valley of Milk - "doodh" means milk in Hindi).
Here, a mother helps her children cross a wooden bridge over the river in Doodhpathri.
