This painting began with an intersection—lines and planes meeting in a way that felt both structured and open at the same time.

I worked intuitively, building the composition through layers of acrylic using both brush and palette knife. Cool blue tones emerge through soft whites and light greys, while deeper brown and charcoal elements anchor the center, creating a point of tension and connection across the canvas.

As I developed the piece, I was drawn to the idea of crossing forces—horizontal and vertical movements that shape the space without defining it. The composition feels architectural, yet it remains fluid, allowing color and texture to shift naturally across the surface.

The palette—blue, white, beige, soft grey, brown, and charcoal—creates a refined and calm atmosphere. Subtle transitions between tones bring depth, while textured areas—built, scraped, and softened—add a tactile quality that changes depending on light.

What I love most about this work is how it expands the space around it. The lighter areas open the composition, while the darker structure holds it together, creating a sense of depth and quiet strength.

At a large scale (120 × 80 cm), this painting becomes a focal point. It works beautifully above a sofa, in a living room, or within a modern interior, bringing a sense of openness, structure, and sophistication.

This is a one-of-a-kind original painting, created to transform a space and continue revealing new layers over time.

The artwork is signed, dated and titled on the reverse and ships in a tube. This method is particularly safe for oversized works and ensures lower transport costs. Rolled works may be easily stretched upon arrival (placed on wooden stretchers for canvases) and/or framed by a local framer.
