Crimson Bouquet in Blue (2025) Original Oil Painting by Tetiana Surshko

60 x 80 x 2cm / 60 x 80cm (actual image size)

£1,027.02

Crimson Bouquet in Blue is flowers reduced to pure energy — the memory of a red bouquet rather than its portrait.

A dense crown of crimson poppies blazes at the top of the canvas, its stems dissolving into bold vertical sweeps of cobalt blue, cadmium yellow and scarlet laid down with the palette knife. Up close it is almost pure abstraction; step back and the bouquet appears.

The 60 × 80 cm scale gives the colour real force — a painting that sets the mood of a room rather than simply decorating it.

Oil on stretched cotton canvas, worked in thick, gestural, knife-laid strokes with painted edges; no frame required.

Sent from Lisbon by fully tracked and insured courier, ready to hang and signed by the artist.
