Carved by hand from sand stone this sculpture represents the crest of a wave breaking in the ocean. The stone I selected to carve this piece has multiple grains of colour running through it just like a wave in the ocean would. The sculpture is also designed to hold water droplets when it rains adding an interactive feel to the piece.
