Original artwork description:

'Crashing wave' is painted in a more expressive, impressionistic style of painting compared to my normal more rigid way of painting. I use a range of filbert, flat and fan brushes in an attempt to create a dynamic wave crashing on the rocks. I am trying to achieve realistic colours using a prismatic colour palette to recreate the moment.

The sunlight highlights rich green hues of the waves, the bright sunlit white foam and contrasts with the violet shaded sea in the foreground to create a more dramatic painting.

Painted with thick wet on wet oils to create luminous colours. The painting is ready to hang or it is possible to add a picture frame. Finished with a protective varnish which adds to the reflectiveness of the sea. The painting is protected by two MDF or hardboard panels to ensure safe protection during delivery.

The artwork is signed on the front and includes a Certificate of Authenticity.
