The historic fishing village of Crail in the pretty East Neuk of Fife. Built around a harbour, Crail has a particular wealth of vernacular buildings from the 17th to early 19th centuries including the parish church in Marketgate. The artist was particularly attracted to the beach beside the harbour, with a beautiful view of the coast. This would be an ideal piece for anyone with a personal connection to the picturesque Scottish village.
