Original artwork description:
My first lovingly grown pumpkin seedlings were all frozen by unexpected frosts. So, the second batch of plants sprouted a much late, and although the plentiful foliage and flowers promised a bountiful harvest, due to the rainy and cold summer, only a few pumpkins (three, to be exact) set and matured.
Right now, shops are full of beautiful decorative pumpkins, but these two cute little pumpkins are much more precious and beautiful to me. Probably because they grew by miracle and because they are mine.
So, another artwork, as a reminder of the past summer and the arrival of autumn.
This is a one-of-a-kind drawing made by me in tempera, gouache and colored pencils on 340 gsm. cardboard. The drawing was fixed with professional spray varnish for gouache drawings for preservation. The image is signed by hand on the front side. Not framed.
