"Courage and Strength" is a drawing about the encounter of two very different creatures: a small bird and a huge tiger. These two belong to different worlds, but now they are looking at each other up close. The bird seems fragile, but it shows no fear and stays in place, even in front of such a powerful beast. The tiger, used to being the master of its environment, doesn’t attack right away, as if something is holding it back. Does strength always triumph over courage? Perhaps the tiger is confused by the unexpected bravery of the little bird. Sometimes, courage becomes stronger than strength, especially when someone stands their ground until the end. Maybe the tiger is surprised or even impressed that the bird isn’t afraid. Or perhaps it will decide that it doesn't want to cause any harm. This encounter reminds us that even the smallest can be strong in their own way.
Medium: color Schneider ballpoint pens and color Cretacolor pencils.
Material: Fedrigoni recycled paper.
