By the river, at the edge of my local town is a small studio that belonged to the artist Jean-Baptiste-Camille Corot. He would take some of his summers to come to this remote spot in the West of France to paint.
Just across from it were these wheat fields, that were touched by the sun, and a distant farm building that would have undoubtedly been seen by Corot as well. It is a scene untouched by time.
It has been painted with oils on Italian canvasboard (canvas attached to a wooden board), in an impressionist manner, and left for a year before varnishing.
Oil paints (Rembrandt, Old Holland, Winsor & Newton, Gamblin, lefranc & bourgeois)
