Description:
Contemplative captures the fragmented rhythm of thought and memory — the in-between spaces where order falters and emotion surfaces. Built through layers of paper, paint, and graphite, the work balances structure with spontaneity. Vertical lines and raw textures interact like shifting architecture — a construction of feeling, vulnerability, and resilience.

Part of my ongoing Disjointed Reality series, this piece reflects on how life is assembled from fragments — broken parts reimagined into something whole again. The collage process itself mirrors that act of rebuilding: cutting, layering, mending. It’s a dialogue between chaos and control, between what’s lost and what remains.

The palette — muted neutrals, ochres, and grays — evokes both tension and calm, grounding the abstraction in a sense of emotional honesty.

Artist Statement (for listing context):
My work explores the spaces where memory and emotion intersect — where beauty is found in the undone, the imperfect, the repaired. Through layering, erasure, and intuitive mark-making, I seek to reveal what exists beneath surface and silence. Disjointed Reality is both a personal reconstruction and an invitation for others to find themselves within the fractures.
