In this work, I was drawn to the idea of energy that does not spill over, but instead finds its place within restraint. The red emerged as a central force , not as aggression, but as a steady presence that needed to be held. As the painting developed, I became interested in how this intensity could be contained without losing its vitality. Each fragment became a way of absorbing and redirecting that energy, allowing it to circulate rather than dominate. For me, Contained Heat is about that quiet equilibrium , where something powerful exists just beneath the surface, held in balance.
