While creating this painting, I wanted to capture the intense concentration and emotional connection shared by musicians during a live performance, allowing the music to be seen as well as imagined. I used a dark background to emphasize the spotlight illuminating the performers, while balancing warm and cool tones to shape the changing light across their faces, hands, and instruments. Expressive brushwork, layered textures, and energetic splashes of white paint evoke musical notes floating through the air, bringing rhythm, movement, and the vibrant spirit of a live concert to the canvas.
