This artwork is of a vibrant, characterful corner of Edinburgh, rendered in warm, textured colours that emphasise the city’s layered architectural charm. The building dominates the artwork with its mosaic of brick tones—ochres, tans, russets, and muted reds—showing the weathered sandstone and brickwork typical of older Edinburgh neighbourhoods.
At ground level, we see the colourful awnings in purples, blues, and pinks of local small shops or cafés—exactly the kind of vibrant storefronts you find in areas like Stockbridge, Marchmont, or the West End.

This artwork would be an ideal addition to any collection of Edinburgh or Scottish artwork.

Texture has been added to create extra depth. The canvas is 0.5 inches deep and can therefore hang without a frame if wished.

Materials used:

cotton and wood canvas, acrylic paint, paper/card, glue, clear varnish gloss
