Colour Me King is a celebration of strength wrapped in color, energy, and light. The lion portrait emerges from bold brushstrokes and intuitive mark-making, where colour led the way, not rules. I wanted him to feel both majestic and a little untamed, like he’s stepped out of a dream and claimed the canvas as his throne. Rich ochres, fiery oranges, flashes of cobalt and blush pink, create emotion and quiet strength. I let the paint drip and dance, layering texture until he felt alive. There’s a quiet confidence in his gaze, but also softness, like he knows something we don’t. The background swirls with warm energy, giving him space to shine. A king of colour, courage, and calm power. He’s not roaring, he doesn’t need to. He already owns the room.
