A giant evil clown is both menacing and Redonkulus as it looms over a landscape dotted with burning homes. He points with mutant pride at the destruction he causes. Sad. Questions you might have;
What/who inspired the work? Based on Goya's 1808 Colossus and the Rump roast arsonist we deal with daily.
What do you hope its viewers will feel/think? We are in trouble and the giant Redonkulus must be stopped.
Why did you choose the medium, subject matter, style? I paint in oil for its lush fluidity and forgiving character. The subject matter was not so much a choice as an existential imperative. I chose the style to be expressive and garish. I want you to despise the Redonkulous so that it galvanizes you into action.
