Original artwork description
This painting depicts reflections of light and color in cascading water. The reference area for this painting is the Youghiogheny River in Ohiopyle State Park, PA. Many beautiful little color variations are visible in the water here and my goal was to portray these wonderful colors in the painting. The painting was started en plein air on site, then completed from my art studio over the next few weeks. Professional grade oil paint was use to complete this painting on gallery-wrapped 1.5" deep canvas. A black frame is installed on the painting and it is ready to hang when you receive it.
