This watercolor paper cut started from a watercolor painting of a white cattleya orchid with a dark blue background: after the painting was finished I didn't think it was up to my standard but instead of discard it I painted over the white area with washes of pinks and blues then used as my paper cutting. the young woman profile is surrounded with flowers and butterflies.
