Original artwork description:

From recent conversations about our beautiful time some years ago living in the tiny, Mediterranean Art Colony of Collioure, France, this painting was inspired. Collioure is known for being the place where “Fauvism” was born, but also for a particular type of white Anchovies, found in the waters there. This piece was fun, in terms of the mixing and layering of mediums, with no real plan or vision ahead of time. The canvas is painted around the edges so that this piece can be hung unframed if preferred.
