"Cloudy sunrise in Demerdzhi mountains" an impressionistic oil mountain landscape etude painting. This is an original oil painting on a 18 x 24 cm canvas on board
This painting was created "en plein air" in the mountain Demerdzhi in Crimea.
It is a famous place because of stone figures formed by rocks.
I woke up at 4AM and came to the mountain to wait when the sun was rising! This day the weather was rainy and heavy clouds hung over the sun.
I had just around an hour to catch the rising sun and after the rain started and I had to leave.
The artwork is painted in an impressionistic manner with impasto texture.
Oil on canvas on board, palette knife

Signature on front and hand signed on back.
