I painted this work during a time when the outside world felt overwhelmingly intense.
The yellows and radiant tones emerged as a way to hold onto warmth.. not as calm, but as something alive, almost necessary. There is movement in every layer, a quiet tension that never fully settles. And yet, within this intensity, there is a pause. A sense that something softer still exists beneath the surface. A feeling of light that is not fully here, but close.

This work is about that in-between space..where weight and hope coexist, and where the simplest things, like quiet and sunlight, begin to feel essential again.
