Clayes Memory 2 (2025) Original Mixed-media Painting by Hussain Habeeb

£2,314
Original artwork description
“Clay’s Memory 2” is rooted in the landscapes of southern Iraq, where water and earth shaped both daily life and identity.
This work reflects a personal memory of those environments. The cracked textures and dense layers echo dried clay, worn surfaces, and the passage of time. Each mark is built slowly using oil, acrylic, and gesso, creating a surface that feels physical and grounded.
This is not a decorative piece. It holds weight. It speaks about origin, loss, and connection to land.
The vertical format gives it a strong presence in a space. It works best as a standalone piece where it can be seen clearly and felt fully.
