Paper Size: 10” x 13” Plate Size: 5.5” x 7.3”
My interest in film history has led me to make film-stars the subject of many of my drawings and prints. This etching of Clara Bow derives from the early days of Hollywood, when it was not thought proper to use the term “Sex Appeal” in describing the qualities of film actresses. However it was generally agreed that Clara Bow possessed it, hence the fact that she was widely known as The “It” Girl.
