This watercolor captures the warm ochre façade and soft geometry of the Church Notre-Dame-de-l’Assomption in Èze — one of the most picturesque hilltop villages of the French Riviera. Painted on location in 2021, the work reflects the tactile interplay of Mediterranean light, layered shadows, and historical architecture.
The bell tower rises between village rooftops and trees, rendered in hand-drawn lines and pigment washes that retain their natural texture in the print.
