I painted this winter scene because I love how Christmas baubles look on a snowy spruce branch — bright, glossy, and a little bit nostalgic. I wanted to capture that moment when the snow is still fresh and untouched, and the ornaments shine as if they’re keeping a small warm light inside. While working on it, I focused on the reflections and the contrast between the soft snow and the deep greens of the needles.
