A conceptual landscape where nature is counted, categorized, and reduced to resources. “Business Forest” reflects on civilization’s silent violence against the natural world.
Painted in 2018, “Business Forest” confronts the viewer with a fragmented landscape shaped by human logic. Tree trunks lie cut and counted, reduced from living organisms to units of measurement. Chalk-like inscriptions reference business, civilization, and felling — turning the sky itself into a ledger.
The textured surface and restrained palette evoke erosion, fatigue, and loss. This work questions the cost of progress and exposes the uneasy relationship between economic systems and nature.
