It was a warm August in our garden in Rotterdam. We arranged a very nice dinner in the back of our garden and invited friends over. I made three paintings about this day,
Chess & lobsters I, II and this final one. However I took this painting down to make some changes.
Sometimes I am not completely satisfied with a painting and I take ofcourse the liberty to improve on it. This time I put his feet into some water.
I think it improved a lot. But that is always in the eye of the beholder.
