Cherish the Love (2026) Original Mixed-media Painting by Elizabeth Westcott

76.2 x 76.2 x 3.81cm

3 Artist Reviews

£995

This painting was inspired by the flowers and seed heads of the plant ‘wild carrot’, nestling amongst fine grasses. ‘Wild carrot’ is also known as ‘Queen Anne’s Lace’. It looks similar to, but is unrelated to, the common wildflower, cow parsley. It is an excellent source of pollen for butterflies and bees, boosting biodiversity in the countryside.

This mixed media painting is embellished with patches of silver leaf, giving the impression of sunlight hitting the grasses. The deep canvas is strung at the back, ready to hang on your wall.

Materials used:

Acrylic, ink and silver leaf
