Original artwork description
This was fun, mostly regarding playing with randomly colored/ sized “Checks” of color, and then composing the Flower an arrangement to coordinate. As the checked background began to take shape, I thought it a bit like a nod to “Mondrian”; a French Artist I’ve never before referenced !! During the past couple of weeks, when I’m out running, I’ve been surrounded by Butterflies; they’ve come swirling around me, and playfully following me! So I decided to add a couple to this piece, in their honor. I am loving playing with my Acrylic Pens these days, adding drawn on bits to my painted work. This canvas is painted around the edges so it can be hung unframed, if preferred.
