Original artwork description
Che Guevara is a hero of mine. His short life helped changed the world and he, alongside Fidel Castro took on the might of the American Empire. He changed Latin America and gave it a belief that it could shake off the shackles of United States Imperialism.
I wanted to create a painting of an old book, a worn and tatty book that told the story of Che Guevara. As with all my series of old book covers I wanted to create a book that was written to tell another story, a story whereby Che Guevara led a global revolution and smashed the Imperialists and Colonialists . Unfortunately this never happened as Che Guevara was killed in Bolivia helping to free its people from the slow death of imperial and colonial rule. At his death there was and is still much more to be done to free the people of the world but Che cleared the path for others to run forward.
ORIGINAL ART BY James Earley- "Che Guevara" is an original oil painting. Only the highest quality archival fine art grade oil paints are used (Michael Harding Oil Paints).
