Chasing a Dream is a 30x24x0.5 inches abstract oil painting on canvas in vibrant rainbow colours of a path through a wood going towards the light in the distance. It was inspired by an ancient path through woodland near East Grinstead. This painting is part of a series of bright paintings reflecting my love of countryside walks and mysterious places. It is very brightly coloured and although painted in an abstract, expressionist free style is still very recognizable as a path through a forest with lots of light shining through the trees. The exit can be clearly seen as a glowing white doorway that could lead to somewhere fantastic. One of the things I love most about walking in woodland is the glimpses you get through the foliage of fields and flowers, wildlife, deer, owls, woodland birds and the odd unicorn (in my mind anyway). Fairy tales are real in some places and so is magic. This is one of those places and you should place whatever you want to be there at the end of this path in the clearing beyond... Ready to hang, edges white, frame recommend but not essential.
