I painted this piece after imagining a winter walk with heavy snow and a small chapel appearing between the trees, glowing from the inside. I wanted to show this sharp contrast — the cold evening outside and the warm light that immediately catches your eye. I worked with soft watercolor layers to keep the snow light and the forest deep and atmospheric.
