Original artwork description:

A series of paintings based on old photographs. I am very fascinated by these photo's. When looking at these pictures I can't help but think, who were these people?
Where did they go after the photo was taken? What were they thinking?
This is the first painting in the series, I have not join the scene yet by painting myself in it. That was something I would start with in the next painting. It is my favourite scene/still from a black and white silent movie from paris back in 1921.
