Jonas Peres’ reinterpretation of Paul Cezanne’s (1839-1906) “Still Life With Cherries And Peaches”: This work is given a new life through a modern 21st century perspective. With a pop expressionism of saturated and vibrant colours and an intentionally clean composition, the artist highlights a vivid tone to exalt the breaking of the rules of perspective.
Paul Cézanne is considered the father of modernity because he conceives a new approach to space, breaking with the traditional rules of perspective, where some objects are seen from above and others from the front. He brilliantly captures this new vision in his still lifes and his famous phrase is that he is going to make a revolution in Paris with an apple.
