Exuberant, surreal skyscape. Cerise has a particular meaning of freedom to me - after breaking up with the father of my child, I painted the ceiling of my Victorian flat (all white, all very traditional high ceilings and ornate cornices) bright cerise. Since then, it has always signified a joyful independence of spirit. It never fails to make me feel happy.
