Contemporary Impressionism
While on an early morning canoe trip along
the Norfolk Broads the artist came across a small herd of Friesian cows; their reflections and the brooding sky made a striking scene which she just had to capture back in the studio. The artist has used a loose impressionistic style with lively brush strokes and thickly applied oil paints.
There are few places more tranquil and nostalgic than Norfolk's beautiful waterways and marshes. This little painting continues around the edges so framing is optional.
