On one of our visits to Ephesus, some years ago now, I spotted this cat, resting on a pedestal in the heat. He thought he was smarter than the rest of us, clambering over the ruins in the heat, and probably he was.
I took his picture against the ruined Library of Celsus, and thought that I would paint him one day. Finally I have
