Painted en plein air (French for "outside, in the open air") on location at Carmel Beach
to record an impression of early afternoon scene at the beach in Carmel-by-the-Sea.

Materials used to create this artwork: Oil on oil-primed Claessens Belgian linen on 1/16 MDF archival art panel, the back of the panel finished with melamine that prevents warping and deterioration. Painting surface is protected with a coat of Gamvar varnish.
The painting is unframed, and it will need a frame to hang on the wall. Images showing it framed are for presentation of potential framing ideas only. Frame is not included.
