Original artwork description
The city of EMDEN, after which I named my new series, is located in the north-west of Germany at the mouth of the Ems River, right on the North Sea coast in the lands of Lower Saxony. Through the port, the berths of which are half a kilometer long, they transport ore, timber, build ships and produce cars here. From here begins the entrance to the Dortmund-Ems canal.
I am writing about this in order to present my interest and those paintings of my new series that have already been painted and anticipate those that have not yet been painted, but whose sketches are already on the table and are asking for canvas ... This series is a hymn to skill and talent people, shipbuilders, sailors, employees and port workers.
According to the plot, the daily operation of the EPAS terminal. Despite the small size of the canvas, I tried to reveal the full power of the mechanisms, the beauty of the lines of the ships, the incredible atmosphere of the industrial zone of the port. And the sunny weather, by the way, is an incredible play of reflections on the surface of the bay.
The picture is painted in the author's technique with a palette knife in the style of impressionism.
