Sculpture on hand-worked Lecce stone, designed and created by the artist Andrea Serra. In the sculpture 'Carezza' life manifests itself in a simple but powerful gesture, where two leaves touch each other with sweetness, evoking the emotion and connection that unites us."
The working of this work is entirely carried out by hand on this stone that is found only in very few areas of southern Italy, namely in the lower Salento in the province of Lecce. This particular stone of marine origin, rich in plant and animal fossils dating back to about twenty million years ago (such as shells, marine plants and shark teeth), makes it suitable for the processing of details. The fossils present are visible on the surface of the work and make it even more unique and fascinating.
The sculpture Carezza, as every work of Andrea Serra, being hand-carved, is unique and signed in engraving by the artist.
