Original artwork description
The set Blind window is tied with a person very close to me, who have used to spend most of the time in one space. She was raclaiming it and trying to work it out to build a harmonious place, without negative influences from outside. I was watching how the room that was supposed to be her shelter became her prison. Mentioned space has a wall full of windows, but you can see outside just from one of them, even it is dirty and hard to open just for a few centimetres. And right this window became for me a symbolical metaphor for the story situated between four walls. The subject – window- is parallel to decomposition of personality without ability to notice that. Melancholic variations are balancing between oppresive feelings and desire for freedom. Bind window in this case means a worldsight of individual. Through this piece of glass she can see all her world. She is watching day cycles, weather changes and seasons changing. It is her only touch with outside world. The window is concurrently talking about lonelyness, restricted sight to reality and to oneself. So the real prison is not the room, even the person, who have closed into it by her own choice. Resoluted to keep on watching the world through dirty window that you even cannout widely open.
