My minimal abstract expressionism art is centered around the idea of embracing imperfections.
I firmly believe that art has the power to lead us to a state of stillness amidst the chaos of life, akin to the tranquility found in prayer or the calmness at the eye of a storm. It acts as a guiding light, directing our attention away from distractions and towards a moment of deep contemplation and focus.
In my artistic process, I deliberately choose to leave the underlying layers and marks visible in my paintings. I'm fascinated by the traces of earlier moments that remain, as they add depth and complexity to the artwork. These remnants tell a story of the creative journey, capturing the essence of each brushstroke and decision made along the way.
