Camino in the Garden is an intimate outdoor portrait. The sitter rests on a metal chair beneath dappled foliage, a sun hat catching the light while lilac shadows and coral notes play across the skin. Loose watercolour and gouache washes establish the garden’s heat and glare; coloured pencils and markers ride over the surface with elastic line, cross-hatching and small corrections left visible. Transparent and opaque passages overlap so the figure feels both observed and in motion. The sitter meets the viewer with a quiet, wry gaze.
