This painting explores the delicate boundary between inner silence and vast open space. Under a deep nocturnal sky, a red geometric form and ascending ladders evoke both ascension and introspection — symbols of the human journey toward clarity.
The contrast between vivid reds and serene blues reflects the coexistence of passion and peace, movement and stillness. As in many of my works, the scene becomes a mirror for the observer’s inner landscape, inviting contemplation and quiet emotion.
Created with acrylics, brushes, and palette knives, Calm and Stillness belongs to my series of symbolic and dreamlike landscapes that merge minimalism and surrealism into one poetic vision.
