Abstracted seascape in moody indigo blues and greens.
Acrylics on canvas 40 x 50cm, framed in a 3.5cm deep contemporary white timber tray frame 43 x 53cm, protected with soft satin varnish, the artwork is ready to hang.
My painting process is intuitive where the paintings reveal themselves slowly, layer by layer. Preferring a less is more approach, my paintings are soft blended with a minimal colour palette and strong horizon lines to anchor the piece and take you beyond the horizon.
I aim to create sea/skyscapes that are balanced, have a flow and create a sense of calm, hopefully encouraging you to stop, breathe and contemplate for a few moments. My paintings are not of any particular place, but abstracted memories of the beauty and moods of all the coasts and beaches I've visited and been lucky enough to live near.
