Original artwork description
Calida was inspired by the beautiful forest shores of England, sophie hopes to create the feeling that the viewer is standing on the edge of the shoreline just as a storm begins. It's an intimate and quite moment just before the chaos starts and you can feel the power building foreshadowing what is to come.
Painted on a wood board, by utilising loose and textured brushstrokes Sophie makes this piece feel like a hazy memory, something that is unsure but welcome to the viewer.
