This impressionist painting captures the majestic beauty of the Calanques National Park near Cassis, where nature blossoms in its sublime splendor. The artist discovered this inspiring scenery during his hikes and chose a particular viewpoint: a cliff high above the Calanque de Morgiou, between Marseille and Cassis in Provence.
The sun pours its radiant light over the breathtaking landscape of white limestone cliffs that rise majestically above the deep blue sea.
The colors of the sky and the sea merge in an impressionistic play of colors in which the boundaries between them become blurred.
